Mounds View Lions Club HistoryThe Mounds View lions Club, which was founded in 1964, is comprised of some 40 members. Our club is based in the city of Mounds View, Minnesota and serves our city and the surrounding communities of Blaine, Spring Lake Park, Shoreview, New Brighton, and Arden Hills. Community support of our projects throughout the year is appreciated as we reach out to serve our community. Membership in our Lion's Club is open to everyone by invitation. Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired. LIONS INTERNATIONAL OBJECTIVESTO CREATE and foster spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. TO PROMOTE the principles of good government and good citizenship. TO TAKE an active interest in the civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community. TO UNITE the clubs in the bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding. TO PROVIDE a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest: provided however, that partisan politics and sectarian religion shall not be debated by club members.
